Throw a Party at ‘The Top of The Hay’

Great Location, great view and a wonderful summer night await you at The Hay-Adams rooftop, that is if you want to throw an amazing DC party this summer.

The Top of the Hay, as it’s called, has been a favorite of DC wedding and event planners and we agree that it captures all the best DC has to offer!  It is has panoramic views of Washington’s most famous landmarks like The White House, Lafayette Park and St. John’s Church.  The Hay-Adams has just refinished this space as well, just opened for events this past year, it is available year-round after the $20 million renovation. However, we think that the summer might be the best time to enjoy the rooftop terrace.  For dinners and receptions the Hay Adams can accommodate 200 people and has in house catering. The terrace creates the perfect setting for receptions as well, and can fit a large group of 340 guests.

Created by John Hay, Private Assistant to President Abraham Lincoln and later Secretary of State, and Henry Adams, an acclaimed author and descendant of U.S. Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams the Hay- Adams has a claim to an influencial slice of DC political history.  The hotel is a great representation of DC style as well, designed by  renowned architect Henry Hobson Richardson.  Add in sweeping views of the National Mall the Top of the Hay is the perfect spot for a Congressional fundraiser, a DC local wedding or a party for all those hard working DC lawyers.
