Heat up the Holidays With Family-Friendly Fun at The Homestead

Good things may come in small packages, but the bigger the holiday celebration the better. For family-friendly festivities, head for The Homestead in Hot Springs,Virginia. Holidaydecorations are an annual tradition at The Homestead, with elves hanging lights and ornaments the day before Thanksgiving. Look for more than 40 beautifully decorated Christmas trees sparkling across 3,000 acres; 45 holiday wreaths adorned with brilliant red bows; and 700 poinsettias in varieties from Freedom Red to Pink Christmas Rose. Hop aboard a Holiday Hayride for a unique look at the Light Show and decorative display. The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 23 at 4:00 p.m. in the Great Hall at The Homestead.

Fresh-Baked Cityscape:

TheHomestead’s expert Pastry Team led by Executive Pastry Chef, Michel Finel will be hard at work creating an amazingGingerbreadVillagefor display at The Homestead. A resort tradition, the village will be pieced together from more than 80 pounds of gingerbread, 110 pounds of candy and 260 pounds of sugar.

Hit the Slopes:

The Homestead Ski Area opens on Saturday, December 17, with 45 acres of well-maintained trails for skiers and snowboarders of all passions and abilities. Schedule a turn at theSeppKoberSkiSchoolto brush up on your techniques. New this year, The Homestead will offer Night Skiing every Saturday.
